Tahoe's Top Four
Lakefront Brunches

Touring around Lake Tahoe, we always look for a way to enjoy the scenery and get a bit to eat. When you tally up the restaurants
serving a decent brunch, and with lakefront views -- the list is pretty short. This is not a comprehensive list of Tahoe brunches -- just a list of
our favorite four.
Sunnyside - A west shore classic, with a
hotel built in, and always a lively brunch scene. Great food, strong drinks, and a wind barrier make Sunnyside a fun choice for any sunny day.
Stunning Lake Tahoe views.
1850 W. Lake Blvd. Tahoe City, CA 800-822-2754
Gar Woods - Similar to Sunnyside, but in a North
Shore area -- Gar Woods is famous for their fun atmosphere, boat dock, and strong drinks. Gar Woods offers a brunch buffet that is particularly
enjoyable. Amazing Lake Tahoe views...
5000 North Lake Boulevard (530) 546-3366
Carnelian Bay, CA 96140
Blue Onion @ Brockway Golf Course (new!) - A
catering restaurant that has expanded to take over the food service for Brockaway golf course near King's Beach on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe.
Good, high quality food. Not right on the lake, but sweeping views from the outdoor deck of the entire lake and mountains. We enjoyed a steak
sandwich and egg scramble -- both of which were excellent. The restaurant seems to still have a few service kinks to work out, but generally a fun
experience with good food.
Brockway Golf Course - Kings Beach, CA 800 353 4050
River Ranch (river front...) - When you raft
the "Truckee Trickle", River Ranch is where you get off. Expect to see boatloads of partiers trying to get their rafts out of the water.
A lively bar scene with food mainly driven by burgers and fries. Great outdoor atmosphere and river entertainment on Highway 89 near Tahoe City.
Highway 89 @ Alpine Meadows Road - Tahoe City, CA 530-583-4264
